Pointwest's Mobile Team conducted a contest regarding Mobile Application Design. The illustration below shows the mechanics of the contest.
Being an employee of that company, I took the opportunity to join such activity - I always wanted to design things that are handy, usable, and fun.
With more users doing more on mobile, the spotlight is on how to improve the individual elements that together create the mobile user experience.
Given the ubiquity of mobile even among hard-to-reach populations, I wanted to improve the giving and sharing experience of people by designing an application that will offer an option (surprise) for them. With Surprisa, users can add easily, import fast, get notified in time, and send a surprise to their loved ones and friends.

Login.
The user has the option of using his/her social media account to signUp or login to the application.
Welcome Screen.
The welcome screen shows a brief of the application.
Create a Surprise List
The user can create a list of persons he/she wants to surprise with. The application also offers a sync with the user's social media account for the birthday events.
Events - Calendar Reminder.
The application shows the list of events on going the month selected. When the user taps the 'big circle with Month', the calendar will appear. He/she can also slide to select the desired month.
Person or Event.
Upon the selection of a person or event on the reminder's list, this screen will appear. It shows its basic profile.
Surprise Options.
This screen shows the options on how the user can send his/her surprise message or e-card.
Message.
The image shows the 'Message Text Option'. The user can configure its setting whether to share it on the celebrants social media account like twitter or facebook.
Video.
The image shows the 'Video Message Option'.
The image shows the 'Video Message Option'.
Sending Options.
The user can choose on how he/she may send his/her surprise to the celebrants.
